Others may have other thougts (see for instance www.bestcommentaries.com and Jeremy Pierce). At the moment there is no good and recent commentary of this type for a few Biblical books. This concerns: Joshua, 2 Samuel, 1&2 Kings, 2 Chronicles, Ezra and Nehemia. An alternatief could be: less thorough and/or less orthodox protestant.
There is a category of commentaries that's not mentioned here. These are written from a Lutheran, Pentacostal and also from a Reformed point of view. On the internet you can find lists of these commentaries.
Dutch:
Deze commentaren zijn dus geschreven vanuit een terughoudende Schriftopvatting. Dat betekent dat men voorzichtig is als het om historische betrouwbaarheid, datering en auteurschap gaat. De commentaren die hier niet zijn opgenomen laten in (te) grote mate de exegese overheerst worden vanuit de systematische theologie. Voor wie dat wil zijn er lijsten op internet.

Deze laatste wordt eind 2012 verwacht. De Hermeneia-serie is een moderne serie en kan door orthodoxen als Schriftkritisch worden ervaren. In het geval van Kronieken speelt dat wel een rol, aangezien daar vragen spelen over de verhouding tussen Kronieken en Koningen.
R.W. Klein is een gematigde evangelical die eveneens een deel op 1 Samuel heeft verzorgd in de NICOT-serie. Voor hen die een meer conservatief commentaar wensen is er momenteel niet iets verkrijgbaar.
