The commentaries listed below are of importance for those who feel at home in a more or less protestant-orthodox part of the church. These are commentaries written from a so-called 'evangelical' point of view. That means: issues like historical reliability and systematic theology (protestant, Anselmian) are frequently discussed.
The titles listed here are the best in this category (from my point of view the first mentioned are the best). Others probably have other thougts (see for instance www.bestcommentaries.com and Jeremy Pierce).
There is a category of commentaries that's not mentioned here. These are written from a Lutheran, Pentacostal and also from a Reformed point of view. On the internet you can find lists of these commentaries.
Dutch:
Deze commentaren zijn dus geschreven vanuit een hoge Schriftopvatting. Dat betekent dat men voorzichtig is als het om historische betrouwbaarheid, datering en auteurschap gaat.
